If you are ready to lose the belly fat and back fat to get in shape for the spring, signing up for a boot camp program is a good idea. But before you sign up for a boot camp in Coppell, make sure you ask these important questions to avoid a boot camp scam. Here's the third question you should ask...
Question#3: What is the trainers training philosophy?
Any competent fitness professional (and remember your boot camp coach should be a fitness professional) should be able to concisely describe their training philosophy so that you can understand what to expect from your training relationship with them. However, if you ask this question, you will find that many trainers will give you vague phrases like “ I work them hard” or “Give it all you got” or what may seem like a very good answer like “I just believe everyone is different and has different needs”. Here’s why you should run away fast if your question is met with any of these lame answers.
A good boot camp coach will be able to tell you what they believe are effective training techniques, why they believe these techniques are most effective, and in what cases they would deviate from these techniques. An inability to explain this to you is a sign that you are not working with a professional. Additionally, you should not have to pay to meet with this person to get this answer. It is a reasonable expectation that your potential boot camp coach can answer this question in as little as 3-10 minutes - depending on how detailed they choose to be with the answer. It’s also customary to pay for time with a trainer if you would like to discuss their philosophies in depth and gain access to information that would essentially empower you to do a signification part of your transformation on your own.
My personal training philosophy is that in order to lose fat, gain definition and muscle, and postively transform your body permanently, you must have a concern for your metabolism. Boosting your metabolism is the quickest and most effective way to tranform your body, avoid fat loss plateaus, and escape rebound weight gain. Metabolism boosting requires combining high intensity conditioning (or interval training), resistance training, and supportive nutrition. Metabolism destruction, which produces an inability to lose fat, weight swings, low energy, and a host of other ailments, is caused by excessive cardio (low intensity aerobic exercise), neglecting resistance training, meal skipping, prolonged low calories dieting, and unbalanced meal plans. The Great Shape Fit Club program is based on metabolism boosting activities. The classes include resistance training, interval training, conditioning drills, and a simple and effective nutrition program. So if you are considering a boot camp program, be sure to ask the boot camp coach about their training philosophy and make sure that you are joining a program that provides you with all of the elements necessary to make over your metabolism and lose fat fast.
